It was one of the first ever (and might be one of the biggest ever?) Starbound mods! FU adds new biomes, expands Starbound’s crafting system, adds science, microdungeons, custom crew members, armors, weapons, new monsters, tiles and hundreds of other assets to the game. If you’ve been playing Starbound for a long time, you’ve probably already heard of Frackin’ Universe by Sayter and renbear. In the meantime, it seemed about time for our first post-1.0 community spotlight! The Starbound community is full of creative and talented folks! At the office we’re always stumbling across amazing community creations and linking them to each other, and occasionally I like to round them up and do a blog post showing off our favorites. Today we’re gonna take a look at some cool mods! It took me a couple days to do this.We’re still working away on Starbound version 1.1, which will include fishing, collections, world improvements, and more! The bridge has an executive captain's chair and uses a handcrafted wooden steering wheel reminiscent of those used on ancient naval vessels.Īnd of course since it is a Letheia Corporation privateer ship there is advertising everywhere! There is a comfy, traditional captain's cabin at the stern which comes with a connected office. This anchor can be used both in and outside planetary atmospheres as it uses a gravity "anchor" to keep it in place.Ī work station sits on the uppermost deck and has most of the necessities to perform its given missions.Ī lounge was installed in the center of the ship for crew mates and passengers. Towards the bow of the lowest deck past the hold is a personally requested anchor. There is also a custom communications and sensor array at the fore-most dorsal cabin. The ship has a spacious cargo bay large enough to carry a two large shipping containers or even a small ship. Falcon-Class Hylotl Cruiser captained by Hiraki Rekado (backstory for him can be found in the character showcase discussion) and has a 2.0 Atomic Erchius Warp drive allowing it to sail the stars faster than light!
